Winter is a cold place…

And is taking it’s time to arrive around here, last year it was all snow by this time. I’m diligently awaiting for it as it is one of my favorite seasons. Most people get a bit down, summer-sick, even depressed by the cold and desolated environments … Me? I see a world of photographic opportunities.

Matthias Heiderich “Winter Berlin” series warms my heart, they show the intricate beauty of those seasonal no man’s land. Places of temporary human hibernation depicted by a pure and minimalist sense of harmony.
